Like its sibling, the Shearwater Tern "with silver trim" (which lacks air integration and a digital compass), the Tern TX builds on the success of the popular Shearwater Peregrine dive computer with a similar but thinner look to the Shearwater Teric technical dive computer.

What sets it apart from the Teric and the Shearwater Perdix 2 is that it does not feature mixed gas OC technical and CCR modes, making it ideal for air, nitrox, and 3-gas nitrox diving.

Both the Tern TX and the Tern are rated for a maximum depth of 120 meters and tested according to EN technical standards for dive computer compliance.

Both support Air, Nitrox, 3-Gas Nitrox, Gauge, and Freediving modes and can log 500 hours of dives with a battery life of 20 hours in dive mode.
