Fins for snorkeling and open water swimming!
Elastic strap adjustment like the best diving fins!
The main features of the Maui fin are its lightness and ease of use, even for those with less trained legs. Its weight and size make it easy to stow, yet without compromising performance. The Maui was designed using the same sophisticated and advanced finite element technology first employed on the Impulse and Sprint models. The dual material technology used for the blade means that it is essentially composed of two rigid side wings that direct the water flow to the central section, where the overlapping of a softer and more elastic material makes it more flexible. This causes the blade to flex, creating a "spoon effect," thus contributing to a remarkable propulsive force. The fin can be worn barefoot or with light socks. The fabric coating of the EBS strap prevents deterioration of the elastic elements. The heel pocket is made of soft, anatomical rubber. The fin's donning handle wraps around the ankle to reduce protrusion and prevent chafing during swimming. Although the EBS itself allows for great adaptability and makes donning the fin particularly easy, we have included a cleat in the elastic strap to allow for further adjustment. This feature allows the user to make micro-adjustments โ depending on whether socks are worn or not โ or simply to loosen or tighten to ensure the foot is held securely in place but without excessive pressure. Fins for dive centers will have color-coded heels according to size for easy identification.
